За день до международной выставки фототехники Photokina 2006, объявила о разработке своей новой цифровой SLR камеры FinePix S5 Pro. Как известно, её предшественницей была FinePix S3 Pro. Интересно, почему же после S3 не следует S4? Как известно, число 4 - азиатский аналог нашего "несчастливого" числа 13. Четверка считается настолько неудачной, что во многих больницах Китая и Японии нет ни этажа, ни комнат с таким номером. Скорее всего, этим и объясняется пропуск "четверки".
Итак, камера будет оборудована сенсором CCD SR Pro и новым, разработанным Fujifilm, процессором RP Pro. В CCD SR технологии используется 6,17 млн. S-пикселей, которые составляют основную часть изображения, и столько же R-пикселей, которые используются для лучшего отображения темных участков. Таким образом, уменьшается шум, увеличивается динамический диапазон, улучшаются другие характеристики. По заявлениям разработчиков, их детище будет иметь максимальную чувствительность ISO 3200, при которой шум будет в пределах (по мнению Fujifilm) нормы. Также в камере будет использована технология Face Detection, которая осуществляет поиск лиц людей и автоматическую фокусировку по ним. Вся начинка будет помещена в прочный металлический корпус.
